InstantExport Nightly Beta Builds available

From today on InstantExport Nightly Beta Builds are available. InstantExport is our exporter for 3D Studio Max. It exports classic encoding (VRML) and XML (X3D). InstantExport is available for Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7 32 and 64 Bit. The Beta7 release is online

The new release features new nodetypes like spline interpolators (e.g. SplineScalarInterpolator) and BrowserTexture. Furthermore device support was added for: NextWindow multi touch screens, the Novint Falcon Force Feedback device and the Fifth Dimension Data Glove (all Windows only). New brother project born: x3dom.org

A part of the InstantReality's developer team launched a brother project based on WebGL: x3dom.org It proposes a way to integrate X3D direct into Websites via WebGL. This enables a HTML5 conform presentation of 3D content on the web without plug-ins. The open source project was announced at W3C TPAC and already works in Nighty Builds of Firefox, Webkit and Chrome.

IEEE VR tutorials material is online
